Marvin Lee LaPradd, age 65 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 15, 1943 in Franklin County a son of the late Ralph and Eunice LaPradd. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Walter B. LaPrade and his nephew, Michael LaPrade.
Marvin is survived by his sister, Louise L. Wimmer; a niece, Tammy B. Audia of Charlottesville; two nephews, Jeffrey Booth of Glade Hill and Stephen LaPrade of Ohio; two great-nieces and three great nephews.
Marvin was a great friend to all and would do anything he could to help someone. He will be greatly missed by all especially Louise and Jeff and his cat Garfield. He was a jack of all trades and master of most.
Memorial services will be conducted from Redwood United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Denise Bates officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Marvin’s memory to the Planned Pethood Clinic, 18401 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
