Mary Ann Adkins

Mary Ann Adkins, age 81 of Truevine, found peace and went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 19, 2008 following declining health at her residence. She was born August 5, 1927 to the late Charlie and Ella English. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Norwood English. Surviving are her husband of 60 years William Talmage Adkins; three daughters Bonnie Belcher (Preston), Betty Hodges (David), Vickie Prillaman (Ricky); one sister Nannie Kate Reynolds; one brother Page English and wife Shelba; grandchildren Cheryl Grindstaff (Todd), Tracy Wilkerson (Scott), P.O. Belcher, Jr., Eric Prillaman; six great-grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Forrest Hill Christian Church, Snow Creek Rescue Squad or to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Funeral services will be conducted from Forrest Hill Christian Church 2:00 p.m. Monday with Minister Ted Clifton and Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
