Mary Ann Beckner

Mary Ann Beckner, age 82 of Ferrum passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Josie and Frank Cooper; husband, Henry L. Beckner; son, Bobby Beckner; sister, Nancy Amos; and brother, Donnie Cooper. Mrs. Beckner loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed trips to various casinos with family and friends. Surviving are her son, Franklin Beckner; grandson, Jesse Beckner and his wife Candice; great-grandchildren, Carter, Owen, Tanner and Emmitt Beckner; sister, Ruby Lynch; brother, Wayne Cooper; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Hill Community Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
