Mary Kate Brooks

Mary Kate Brooks, age 77 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009. She was born May 2, 1932 a daughter of the late Thomas and Mattie Cundiff Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Brooks; two sons, Jerry Lewis Brooks and Ronald “Buck” Brooks; granddaughter, Pamela Sue Weaver. Surviving are two sons, Johnny Moore and Tony Lee Brooks; four daughters, Mary Sue Lynch and husband James, Helen Kirks and husband Delin, Wanda Crouch and husband Dean, and Rhonda Goad and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Rita Goad, Melissa Brooks, Sara Crouch, Kennie Goad and Johnny Crouch; sisters, Lillie Florence and Bert. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 with the Rev. Bill Doss officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
