Mary Crawford Phillips, age 71 of Rocky Mount went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 28, 2005.
She was a faithful minister’s wife for 37 years and was a member of Hodgesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, and she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard W. and Nellie Adkins Crawford; sisters, Edith C. Akers, Georgia C. Moore; brothers, Willard L. Crawford, Norman E. Crawford.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Rev. Kirby Lee Phillips; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee and Bonnie Phillips, Samuel David Phillips, Matthew Dale Phillips, Mark Allan and Jennifer Phillips; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Nellie C. and James Westmoreland, Axton; brother, James O. Crawford, Blacksburg; several nieces and nephews; her special neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Doyle Marley and Pastor Hollis Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main Street, Rocky Mount.
