Mary Elizabeth Dalton

Mary Elizabeth Dalton, age 86 of Rocky Mount, passed on to her heavenly family January 9, 2016 with her daughters by her side. She was born a daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Neville and was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Horsley and Walter Dalton, a daughter Kitty Angell, sons David Lee Horsley, Wayne Horsley and grandson Lee Atkinson, beloved brother Herman Neville, stepson, Howard Horsley. She was retired from MW Manufacturers and loved the outdoors, gardening and quilting. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Atkinson Shively, Wendy Gruver (Tim), stepdaughters, Mable Dalton, Doris Tuck, grandsons, David Atkinson, Joseph Gruver, granddaughters, Sara Shively Padilla (Carlos), Emily Gruver, great-granddaughters, Sailor Atkinson, Gabriela Padilla, sisters, Mae Pickeral, Ida Evelyn Irvine (Sis), brothers Clinton Neville, Bud Neville and sister-in-law, Jean Neville. Also many wonderful friends and two special neighbors of 60 years, Jeanette Carter and Dorothy Walker. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
