Mary Graybill Gray

Mary Graybill Gray, age 92 of Wirtz died Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born February 21, 1930 daughter of the late Emory and Edith Graybill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Gray; son, Michael Gray; and brother, E.B. Graybill. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Gray Jones; foster son, Mike Crockett (Margie); daughter-in-law, Kathryn Martin-Gray; grandchildren, Sarah Pepe, Annie Macomber (Daniel), Jason Wright-Jones (Megan), Drue Gray (Heather), Alyse Settle and Chris Green (Hayley); great-grandchildren, Landon Pepe, Madison Thackxton, Emory Thackxton, Mersadies Macomber, Madison Macomber, Daniel Jr Macomber, Declan Macomber, Emery Wright-Jones, Adler Wright, Idris Wright, Elliot Gray, Oliver Gray, Linus Gray, Mikey Crockett, Mark Crockett and Matt Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Mountain Lake Community Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ed Woodard and Rev. Jerry Naff officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Smith Mountain Lake Community Church of the Brethren ( smlchurch.org) .
