Mary Katherine Gusler, age 73 of Rocky Mount has gone home to share in the joy of the Lord’s Kingdom.
She was born on July 8, 1933, a daughter of the late John Lewis and Cornelia Greer. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Gusler; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Walker; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Gusler.
Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law, Connie and Michael Goodman, Pokey Richards and special friend David Jefferson; her son Everett (Bud) Gusler; 6 grandchildren, Jay and Kim Greer, Crystal France, Rachel Divita, Monica and Bradley Turner, Justin and Robin Goodman, Drew Goodman; 7 great-grandchildren, Madeline France, Ella Kate France, Abby Turner, Bryce Turner, Ty Turner, Gage Hubbard, Alina Sowder; sisters and brother-in-law, Sally (Tenny) Robertson, Shirley (Bea) and Bobby Wade, Erma (Sam) Gearhart, Sue (Butch) Forbes; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Wanda Greer; many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. James Graham and Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3959 Electric Road, Suite 310, Roanoke, VA 24018.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
