Mary Waid Hardt

Mary Waid Hardt, age 94 formerly of Boones Mill died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was born on January 26, 1923 a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Burroughs Waid. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Hardt, Jr. Surviving are her children, Charles J. Hardt III, Rachel Hardt, James Hardt; three grandchildren, Christina Vital, Lauren Irvin Irvin, Erin Hardt; five great grandchildren Jeremiah Irvin, Jaxon Irvin, Joel Irvin, Tristan Vital and Avery Vital; siblings, Sally Thompson, and Maxine Check. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Red Valley United Methodist Church Endowment fund. Funeral services will be conducted at Red Valley United Methodist Church 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Joshua King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
