Mary Hodges

Mary Hodges, age 70, of Ferrum, went to be with the Lord on August 10 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Nellie Austin, and her granddaughter Kirsten Reed. Surviving family are her beloved husband, Dale Hodges, her son and his wife, Robert and Cindy Whitlow, her daughter and her husband, June and Joe Childrey, and her stepdaughter, Stephanie Hodges. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren, Amber, Caitlyn, Julia, Autumn, Kristin and Noah, and her great grandson Carter. Also surviving are one brother Earl (Denna), her sisters Elsie (Johnny), Donna, Wendy (Toney) and Rita (Cody). Mary will always be remembered for her flower gardens, her love of music, and her spunky nature. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday August 15, 2019 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mt, VA.
