Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Burgess

Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Burgess, age 83 of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. She was born November 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Bertha F. Angel and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Burgess; son, Robert Rasin; and brother, Marvin Angel. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Outten (David); granddaughter, Brittany Stopp (Bryan); grandson, David Outten II; sisters, Elinor Young and Evelyn Brown; brother, Allen Angel; nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Pat. She retired from Elizabeth Arden and was a member of Roanoke Avenue Baptist Church. There will be a graveside service that will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill, VA on Saturday, February, 26, 2022 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Christian Camp, McCoy, VA.
