Mary Margaret Perdue

Mary Margaret Perdue, age 59 of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at her home. She was born November 10, 1965, in New Martinsville, WV. The daughter of the late Everett and Edith Holt Haught. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other Edward Lee Houseman of 30 years; maternal grandparents, Meredith and Hattie Edgell Holt; paternal grandparents, William Margaret Stout Haught; brother, James (Jim) Haught; one sister-in-law, Bessie (Yost) Haught; infant niece, Sherry Haught and nephew, Corby Shuman. She is survived by her son, Justin (Melissa) Burke of Glade Hill, VA; three granddaughters, Brandy Burke and fiancé Ray Salyer of Rocky Mount, VA, Montana Burke and fiancé John Corvin, Jr. of Rocky Mount, VA and Angel Burke of Glade Hill; two precious great-granddaughters, Londyn Lannette, Angeline Burke, and Everest Elaine Salyer; brother, Roger (Valeria) Haught of Man, WV; three sisters, Linda (Bob) Nuzum of Folsom, WV, Brenda Haught of Folsom WV, and Jennifer Shuman of Jackson, WV, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved spending time with her son and granddaughters. Mary loved watching races at the racetrack, and she will be missed by her fur babies, Gypsy, Shadow and Rosie. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 with Pastor Samuel Haught officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
