Mary Louise Price Muse, age 98 and lifetime resident of Rocky Mount and Franklin County passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab.
She was born August 29, 1910 a daughter of the late Carlton and Lizzie Ferguson Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stafford Muse; brothers, Carlton and John Price; and sisters, Ida P. Turner and Elizabeth P. Newbill.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including DeMoss Price (Phyllis) of Knoxville, TN, Mary Elizabeth Price Woody (Dennis), Carl Price (Wanda) of Stuarts Draft, Warren Price (Mollie) of Chatham, Thomas Price (Mary Jane) of Big Pine Key, FL; Gail Price (Johnny, deceased); Marie Arrington of Martinsville; Dorothy Beavers of Vinton, Elizabeth Finney of Vinton, Nancy Schapiro of Baltimore, MD, Sandra Spivey of Calhoun, GA, Richard Crist of Marythurst, OR, Wayne Crist of Newport News, Daniel C. Newbill, Jr., of Honolulu, HI, James P. Newbill of Atlanta, GA, Robert A. Newbill (Alice Peake) of McLean, Jack H. Newbill (Illa), Rachel N. Yungman (Tom), Richard E. Newbill (Susan) of Greensboro, NC, Joseph W. Newbill (Carolyn); also numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Mary Louise was a longtime member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 35 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151 where she wanted memorial donations sent in lieu of flowers.
Graveside services will be conducted from High Street Cemetery 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. John A. Plummer officiating.
