Mary Melissa (Warren) Stevens, age 94, formerly of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra, PA. She was born on Thursday, June 8, 1916 in Franklin County to the late Confederate Army Veteran, Lt. James P. Warren and Fannie (Dent) Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester F. Stevens, their son James H. Stevens II and her brother Paul D. Warren. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia K. Clark and husband Steven of Virginia Beach, VA and Ruth Rosenshine and husband Michael of Elizabethtown, PA; four grandchildren, Rebekah Weiman and husband Robert, Faith Peluso and husband Michael, Janet Rosenshine and Steven Rosenshine; five great grandchildren, Molly Anne, Margaret Louise, Lorlelei Rose, William F.M. Weiman and Angel Marie Peluso; a nephew James E. Warren and wife Christine; a great niece, Phyllis A. Warren. Mrs. Stevens was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church at Sydnorsville and a leader of the Kate Brown Sunday School Class for many years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Flora Funeral Chapel, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Good Samaritan Fund, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
