Mary Kingery Wright, age 96 of Rocky Mount died Friday, May 1, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dillon Wright; her parents, Walter Cabell and Emma Custer Kingery; five brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Vivian and Raymond Scott, James and Gracie Wright; granddaughter, Susan and Steve Henson; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Gary Willard, Stephen Henson; two sisters, Beulah Cooper and Emma Branscome.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers and food, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Gogginsville United Methodist Church, where she was a member for 75 years, 111 Gogginsville Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 or to a charity of your choice.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday with her family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
