Mary Magdalene Wright Hodges

Mary (Magdalene) Wright Hodges, age 82 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Heaven gained another angel. Magdalene was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Mazie Wright; brothers, Carl and Raymond; two sons, Ronnie Wayne Hodges, Sr. and Neal Hodges. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Hodges (Donna), Lisa Hodges Young (Bryan); 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Wright (Thelma), David Wright (Brenda); sisters, Sylvia Young, Judy Creasy (Roger), Jean Love (Jimmy), Ruby Harris (Tim), Betty Ayers (Skeeter), Darlene Blankenship (Harry); and her companion for 20 plus years, Lewis Temple. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Alley-Hodges Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
