Mary Edith Young

Mary Edith Young, age 73 of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was born February 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Charlie Hambrick and Ella Arrington Hambrick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, Charles, and Joe Hambrick. Surviving are her husband, Walter Daniel “Danny” Young; three children, Mary Ann Young (Paul Dillon, Jr.), Mike Young, and Doug Young; grandchildren, Dakota Dillon, Caiden Young and Danielle Young; sisters, Clara (Lawrence) Dalton, Doris (Skip) Bowles, Judy (Beverly) Brooks, Bonnie (Jake) Washburn, Juanita Wright, and Helen Bolling; brothers, P.D. (Mittie) Hambrick, Thomas Hambrick, and Carl Hambrick; and sisters-in-law, Sarah Quinn Hambrick and Doris Hambrick. A graveside service will be conducted at the Young Family Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 with Pastor Bob Andrews officiating.
