Matilda Jean Parks

Matilda Jean Parks, age 69 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, January 5, 2013. Surviving are her husband, Ernest Coy Parks; three sons, Michael Parks and wife Teresa of Rocky Mount, Jack Parks and wife Rhonda of Ferrum, Kevin Parks of Ferrum; one daughter, Michelle Hodges of Ferrum and friend, Marvin Hairston of Martinsville; two grandsons, Jerry Parks of Hardy and Casey Hodges of Ferrum; two granddaughters, Jessica Harlow of Eagle Rock and Heather Hodges of Rocky Mount; step-granddaughter, Jessie Holt of Callaway. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren 12 noon Thursday with Pastor John Collins and Rev. Zack Furches officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
