Maureen Hale Powers

Maureen Hale Powers “Me Maw”, age 89 of Hardy passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019. She was born December 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Edd and Elsie Morgan Hale; also preceded in death by her husband Garfield Powers; two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Janet Powers; grandson, J.J. Powers and wife Crystal; sister-in-law, Nancy Hale; a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Oylers Chapel for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 with Pastor Rick Smithers officiating. Interment will follow in Oylers Chapel Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 5-7 pm Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
