Melissa Faye Goodman, age 38 of Rocky Mount died Monday, October 3, 2011 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her son, J.T. Hood; mother and step-father, Faye and George Gates; sister, Crystal Santiago; and longtime companion, Tommy Hood. Visitation will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
