Melva Webster Atkins

Melva Webster Atkins, age 98 of Boones Mill died Saturday, March 17, 2012. She was a member of Bethlehem Church of Brethren where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and participated in many other activities. Melva was a master gardener and enjoyed quilting. She joined her immediate family in heaven including her husband Edward; son Jerry; brothers Herman, Forrest, Raymond and Carl; sister, Goldie Thomas. Surviving are her grandchildren, Melanie Constuble and Travis Atkins; daughter-in-law, Jackie Atkins; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center. Her family suggest memorial donations be made to Bethlehem Church of the Brethren, 4250 Bethlehem Road, Boones Mill Va. 24065. The family deeply appreciates the care and concern shown by the staff of Trinity Mission during Mrs. Atkins stay.
