Melvin R. Gray

Melvin R. “Dick” Gray, age 66 of Union Hall went to be with the Lord Monday, November 22, 2010. He was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church where he was active in Faith Mates Sunday School Class. He was also an avid classic car enthusiast. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin, Sr. and Katherine McDonald Gray. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Diane Gray; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Danielle Gray; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Branden Robertson; grandchildren, Savannah, Madison and Landen; and sister, Linda Murrell and husband Gene. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday with Dr. Stan Parris officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079C Spruce Street, Martinsville, Virginia 24112. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
