Meredith Layne Bowman

Meredith Layne Bowman, 41 of Boones Mill passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. Surviving are his parents, Berlin and Laquita Bowman; siblings and spouses, Shelia (Steve) Dillon, Patrick Bowman, Dewey(Rebecca) Bowman, Lillie Guachetta, Reuben Bowman and friend Mary; his children, Brandon Taylor, Ryan Bowman, Lindsey Bowman and friend Donnie Stull. Meredith was preceded in death by his biological parents, Barbara Embert and Charles "Pete" Hickson. He is also survived by his biological siblings, Charlotte (Brian) Tucker and Timothy Embert; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joshua King officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
