Michael Dean Bolling

Michael (Dean) Bolling, age 63 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Flippin; and sister, Gwendolyn Gaye Brown. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rebecca Boitnott Bolling; sons, Stephen Bolling and Daryl Bolling; daughter, Sara Vaassen and son-in-law, Mitch Vaassen; granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Vaassen; brother, Basil Guy Bolling; and sister, Kathryn Bernard. Mr. Bolling was in woodworking for many years. He loved fishing and bowling and he never met a stranger. The family would like to thank Pheasant Ridge Memory and Good Samaritan Hospice for all their support and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
