Michael Lee Bowman

Michael “Mikey” Bowman, 62 of Roanoke died Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. He was born September 4, 1963 a son of the late Cliff and Betty Bowman and was also preceded in death by his wife, Paula Bowman; brothers, David Richardson, Gary Bowman, Johnny Bowman; sister, Sonya Bowman; and nephew, Seth Yopp. Mikey was a painter and loved hunting, fishing and animals. Surviving are his sister, Joyce Bane (Michael); brother, Bobby Richardson (Michelle); nieces and nephews, Amy Rakes (Joe), Rodney Bowman (Amanda), Jaycee Richardson, Keith Richardson, Tiffany Akers and Camilla Richardson; great-niece and nephews, Dakota Rakes, Jacob Rakes, Ricky France and Cheyenne Bowman. Special thanks to nurses Angela Burwell and Angela Blankenship and the CNA’s at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab for their care. A celebration of his life will be held in the Legacy Room at Franklin Heights Church from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 with Rev. Wayman Tyree officiating.
