Michael Albert Koning

Michael Albert Koning, age 60 passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at his home in Franklin County, Virginia. He was born February 1, 1965 in New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack "Pop" Koning. Mike is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Biles; his daughter, Teri Rakes (Ben); his grandchildren, Ethan Young and Madison Rakes; his sisters, Amanda Booth (Allen), Angie Ciccarella (Scott); and his brothers, Jack Koning and Anthony Carmichael (Gabby). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Eddie and Teresa Booth and Casey Dawson. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice, Amanda, Hannah, Heather, Hiedi and Jill for their kindness and care they provided during this difficult time.
