Michael Leo Scott, age 57 of Ferrum died Friday, December 11, 2009. Surviving are his wife and soul mate, Barbara King Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Brandon Uttley; son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Jessie Scott; parents, Leo and Geraldine Scott; grandsons, Miles Hamilton Uttley and Kyle Owen Peters; granddaughter, Olivia Austen Uttley; step-son, Jeff Peters and wife Tammy; step-daughter, Daryn Peters; mother-in-law, Beryl King; sister-in-law, Debbie King; brother-in-law, David King; dogs, Belle and Skyy King; hunting buddies and best friends, Roger Edwards, Chester Scott and Randell Edwards; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Liz Lazenby and Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery.
