Micky Strickland

Micky Van Strickland, age 49 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday evening, November 23, 2010. Micky was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruby Strickland; his sister, JoAnn Holland; and niece, Faith Holland. He is survived in love by his best friend, Mary Frasier; his children, Brandon Strickland and fiancé Jessica and daughter, Lexi, Amy Strickland, Heather (Sean) Graham, Blake Grubbs, Collin Grubbs, his fiancé Elizabeth and expected granddaughter, Brooklyn Mackenzie Grubb, and Travis Stilton; two brothers, Don (Ruth) Greenwood, Rick (Debbie) Greenwood; three sisters, Paula (Dewey) Gibson, Gloria (Troy) Harris and Tammy (Jay) Heck; brother-in-law, Gerald Holland; a very special aunt, Virginia Albrecht; nieces and nephews, Justin, Katie, Jerry, Mark, Ursula, Erich, Kelsey, and Noah; special friend, Dave Trail; and his faithful companion, Sadie. A celebration gathering of Micky’s life will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Bonsack Park. Dress casual in honor of Micky!
