Mildred Pauline Jarrells

Mildred Pauline Jarrells, age 75 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Buren Ray Jarrells; parents, Clayton Frye Sr. and Pauline Lee Hurst; siblings, Ronnie Frye, Elsie Thomas, Juanita Frye and Betty Caufman. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa (Steven) Young; grandchildren, Nicholas (Carolina), Jordan (Kait) and Anna (Darren); brothers, Clayton Frye Jr. and Dennis Andrew Frye; and her special cat, Rie. Mildred always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. When you’d visit her she’d always offer you a cold glass Dr Pepper. Those were her favorite. A memorial service will be held at Fairview Church of the Brethren, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her church Fairview Church of the Brethren (c/o Tommy Young, 60 Belmont Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
