Mildred "Polly" Parcell Hall

Mildred “Polly” Parcell Hall, age 81, of Rocky Mount, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010. She was a member of the Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren and retired from JP Stevens. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Brady G. Hall, on December 27, 2005, and a daughter, Margie Gann on January 21, 2009. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law J.D. and Jo Hall; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ben Layman; son-in-law, Joe Gann; grandchildren, Tara McGrady (Allen), Joel Hall (Kari), Malinda Layman, Benji Layman (Alex), Kim Durr (Andy). Dear to her heart were also her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hall is also survived by three special sisters, Eva Nichols, Helen Orander, Jane Broadhurst and her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jeanette, Ellie, Edith, Martha H., Betty, Hope, Martha W., Peggy, Virginia, Betsy, Judy, Nancy, Barbara R, and Louise. Also special thanks to Morgan Issacs and other hospice nurses from Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Funeral services will be conducted at Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 30, 2010 with the Reverend John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Flora Funeral & Cremation Service.
