Mollie Perdue Holland

Mollie Perdue Holland, age 94, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Hampton H. and Betty Blankenship Holland; her husband, Leffie Raymond (Pete) Holland; three brothers, Ed Perdue, Charles Perdue and Harve (Peck) Perdue; sister Eliza (Sis) Carter, Vernie Law, Vickie Holland, Fern Ferguson and Cheryl Perdue. Surviving to treasure her memory are a sister Hazel Ziegler; sons and daughters-in–law, Doug and Bonnie J. Holland , Tommy and Ellen Holland, Wayne and Bonnie S. Holland; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Don Brown; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lynn, Blake Holland (Christy), Tammy Tosh (Enos), Karen Jones (Tony), Don Edmonds (Anita), Rex Powers (Shelly), Jason Holland (Tammy) Chris Holland and Kevin Brown (Jenni); 17 great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Carilion Clinic Hospice for their invaluable help and support. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, her family request donations be made to Carilion Clinic Hospice, 390 S. Main Street, Suite 314, Rocky Mount Va. 24151. Her family will receive friends 6- 8 pm Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
