Gail Thompson

Gail Thompson, age 80, of Henry, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born on February 12, 1945 to the late Alfred and Minnie Cox of Pound, VA. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bobby Thompson of the home. She is also survived by one sister, Lutty Mullins of Pound, She was preceded in death by one son Billy Thompson, along with three brothers and five sisters.

Gail worked for many years in the photo lab at Walmart in Martinsville prior to retirement. She was a devoted Christian, attending various churches throughout her life. She loved her Lord and Savior. Her favorite pastime was studying her bible.

There will be a private graveside service held at Thompson-Hurt Cemetery in Henry, Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
