Monroe James Forbes

Monroe James Forbes, age 74 of Hardy died Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was born December 25, 1937 a son of the late Harry and Rosa Forbes. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Forbes; and two brothers, Ronald and Donald. Surviving are his children, Jamie (Lisa) Forbes, Melinda (J.E.) Jamison; grandchildren, Ryan, Raven, Jordan, Bennett and Cole; brothers and sisters, Perry Forbes, Barbara Jefferson, Kathy Cundiff, Sandra Whitlow, Rosemary Mitchell; other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Forbes Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
