Morris E. “Mack” McClure, age 74, of 464 Lucy Wade Rd., Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, October 6 at the VA Medical Center, Salem, VA.
He is survived by his loving companion and caregiver of the home Peggy Ann Conklin; two sons Douglas McClure of Middletown, NY, Steven McClure of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a daughter Marielena Motta of Flemington, NJ; six grandchildren.
Mr. McClure was a US Navy Korean War Veteran. He graduated from Harrodsburg High School, Harrodsburg, KY, The Institute of Design and Construction, Brooklyn, NY and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, Architecture and Construction Management. He retired from Tyndall’s Delivery Service, Staunton, VA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carilion Home Healthcare, 180 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
Graveside Inurnment services will be conducted from the Shumate Family Cemetery on the Bullpasture River in Highland County, VA 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
His family will be receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
