Murphy Willard Shively

Murphy Willard Shively, age 91 of Ferrum passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jenny Scott Shively; and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Helen Shively; step-daughter, Lovviner (Dub) Scott; granddaughter, Candace Scott (Jonathan) Friel; great-grandson, Henry Wyatt Friel; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Maple Grove United Methodist Church 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Winston Crichlow officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
