Myrtle S. Hudson

Myrtle S. Hudson, age 71 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Simpson and Archie Hudson; parents, Eugene and Louise Adkins; and sister, Lillian Adkins. Myrtle is survived by daughters, Darlene Hogan and Audrey Stancil; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Eagle, Annette Adkins, Pauline Nickelston and husband Rick; brothers, Robert Adkins and wife Martha, Alex Adkins, Wade Adkins; several nieces and nephews; and extended family, her companion
Baby and Sandy Edwards. The family would like to thank all the staff at Trinity Mission for their loving care and support. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Winston Crichlow officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at 193 Storey Creek Lane, Rocky Mount.
