Nadine B. Hodges

Nadine B. Hodges, age 73 of Ferrum died Friday, March 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Winn and Nannie Beckner. Nadine retired from Bassett Walker and was a paper carrier for the Roanoke Times. Surviving are her husband, William (Lovie) Hodges; children, Debora and Stan Wells of Tennessee, Ronnie Hodges, Sharon and Gary Hodges, Sue Wimmer, Cindy and Robby Whitlow, Kenny and Jane Hodges, Carla and Bobby Carter; grandchildren, Melissa Whitmire (Lynn), Ferris Kort (Richie), Lindsey McPherson (Josh), Jessica Wimmer, Amee Hodges, Hailey Carter, Amber Whitlow, Carly Carter, Kullen Wells; great-grandson, Dylan Whitmire; sister, Liz McPherson and husband Dan; in-laws, Bud and Bo Nichols, Betty S. Hayes, Marshall and Judy Hodges, Rosemary and Bob Williams of North Carolina, Gordon Hodges. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Beckner Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
