Nancy Poindexter Adkins

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Nancy Poindexter Adkins was called home to our Lord on Saturday May 22, 2021.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; Clair and Daisy Poindexter. Her father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Jasmer Adkins and her brother Tom Poindexter.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Adkins; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin (Jennifer) and Andy (Tiffanie); Her six-grandchildren Daniel Adkins, Morgan (Corey) Adkins, Halie Adkins, Tatum Adkins, Lucas (Briana) Webb and Tracy Webb; great grandchild, Emmalynn Webb. Nancy is also survived by her brother, Fred Poindexter and two sisters, Arlene Thomas and Laverne (Wayne) Blankenship; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Sago Community for all of their continued support during Nancy's illness and also a special thanks to Carilion Hospice Services.

Visitation will be held at 1pm on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at Flora Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at Flora Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Adkins Family Cemetery.
