Nancy Flora Austin

Nancy Flora Austin, age 76 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Mary (Jamison) Rutrough; daughter, Valenta Bowman; sisters-in-law, Lydia Rutrough and Mary Lee Rutrough; and brother-in-law, Roger Austin. Surviving are her husband, Dale Austin; children, Larry Austin (wife, Patty), Valerie Bowers (husband, Roger), Vanessa Bowman (husband, Dwight), George Austin (wife, Beverly); son-in-law, Levi Bowman (wife, Ann); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert Rutrough, Abram Rutrough (wife, Martha Ann), Jacob Rutrough (wife, Dianne); sister, Julia Brunk (husband, David); sisters-in-law, Laquita Bowman (husband, Berlin), Jane Austin, Dianne Rutrough (husband, Jacob). Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Pigg River Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
