Nancy Grindstaff Brodie

Nancy Grindstaff Brodie, age 79 of Snow Creek passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was born July 25, 1941 the daughter of the late Mack and Gladys Grindstaff and was also preceded in death by her son, Jay Brodie; and brothers, Mack Grindstaff, Jr. and Gene Grindstaff. She retired from VF Corporation with 38 years of service in the accounting department. Nancy was also a lifetime member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, John D. Brodie, Sr.; son, Robert Brodie (Melissa); and grandchildren, Mackenzie and Seth. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grindstaff Family Cemetery with Mr. Eric Ferguson officiating. The family respectfully request no food and in lieu of flowers please make donations to Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Due to Covid 19, the family has chosen not to be present, but invites friends to pay their respects to Nancy from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
