Nancy Carol Callaway

On July 15, 2012, Nancy Carol Callaway, of Rocky Mount, Va. went home to be with the Lord. She was born August 24, 1950 to Roy N. Preston and to the late Annie Bell Preston. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Callaway; two sons, Jeff (Sylvia) Callaway and Joey (Tina) Callaway of Rocky Mount; three daughters, Josephine A. Callaway of Rocky Mount, Carol R. Callaway of Roanoke, Lana K. (Robert) Hairston of Rocky Mount; and three brothers, Carl W. (Crystal) Preston of Rocky Mount, David W. (Nellie) Tanks of Callaway, Roy N. Preston (Janice White) Rocky Mount; three sisters, Emma D. Wood, Georgia P. Clark, and Debra A. Jordan all of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Lundei Callaway, Kadeesha Callaway, Shanteia Callaway, and Daisha Hairston. Also, left to cherish her memory are brother-in-law, Johnny W. (Loretta) Callaway; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Legans, Luella E. Smith all of Rocky Mount. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a special friend, Mr. Edwin Robertson. Viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Pigg River Community Center, 2410 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va., with the Elder Cleive E. Adams, Jr. officiating and Elder Kenny A. Tanks, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery, Union Hall, Va.
