Nancy Korfhage Gentry

Nancy Korfhage Gentry, age 54 died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Rocky Mount, Va. Nancy was a native of Bullitt County, KY. She is survived by her loving husband, Lindsey Gentry; their daughter, Tonya L. Gentry; her brother, Paul Korfhage (Andilyn); brother-in-law, Tony Gentry; sisters-in-law, Jill Gentry Wadell (Robert) and Belinda Gentry. She was blessed with four nieces, Olivia Pitchford (Brett), Megan Arnold (Kevin), Missy Perkins, Shelby Gentry; two nephews, Nicholas Polston and Sam Wadell. She was adored by her two great nieces and three great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Korfhage. Nancy was a graduate of the University of Louisville in Kentucky and was the Research Coordinator for Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. Nancy was a devoted caregiver to her husband and best friend, she loved gardening and canning vegetables, she was loved and will be missed by many cousins, friends and her cat, Bella. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. Her family will also receive friends 2-8 p.m. Tuesday with a funeral service to be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington, KY. Interment will be in the Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, KY. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
