Nancy Scott Guilliams

Our sweet mama Nancy "Dean" Guilliams of Ferrum left this earth for her heavenly home December 17, 2021. She was surrounded by her sons as she went to be with Daddy, Wayne Guilliams, whom she was married to for 53 years. Surviving to carry her memory are sons; Eddie, Gary (Teresa), Bruce and Brian and her special niece, Lisa Scott Doss who called mom, "Mama Dean'. Special friends and companions for mom, Troy Midkiff, Judy Drewry and Kevin Scott who mom talked to every day. Dean was the youngest daughter born to Charles and Fannie Scott on May 22, 1940. Dean was one of ten children, survived by Carl and Danny. She was preceded in death by brothers; Lloyd, Marvin, Carol, Jimmy, and "Peanut" Scott and her sisters Garnett Woods and Ludy Wagoner. She loved her grandchildren Jessica Shortt (Daniel) Heather Scott (Malcom), Jillena Boitnott (Luke) and Travis Guilliams also special nephew and neice, Shannon and Stacey Woods who she loved like one of us, great-grandchildren Lena and Kensley Shortt and Ryen and Ryder Scott. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Interment will follow in the Hale-Guilliams Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
