Nancy Harrison

Nancy Harrison, age 79 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, February, 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jeanette Vachon Trombley. Nancy was a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She retired from the Veterans Administration and spent numerous hours volunteering at the Franklin County Humane Society and Franklin Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband, George “Buford” Harrison; two children, James Peterson and Donna Jester; two grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Peterson; sisters, Claire Fredette, Mary Lou Short and June McKillop; and her cats, Elliot and Sophie who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Memorial services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 with Rev. Will Waller officiating. Her family will receive friends beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
