Nancy Stanley Haynes

Nancy Stanley Haynes, age 92 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was born February 14, 1923, grew up in Ferrum, and lived almost 50 years in Snow Creek before moving to Rocky Mount in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick H. (Buck) Haynes; parents, Ed and Maude Stanley; brother Joe Stanley. Surviving are her children, Jimmy Haynes (Alyeene), Dean Haynes (friend, Gladys McPherson), Marilyn Edwards, Gary Haynes (Cheryl), Phillip Haynes (Debbie); sister, Louise Dodson; nephew, Dick Dodson; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She retired from Tultex and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 with Rev. B. Glen Voss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Special thanks to Betty Hodges, Joe and Beverly Rutter, Franklin Health and Rehab and Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital staff for their care and concern. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and meeting with special friends at the residence 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
