Nancy Marie Hurt Wuergler

Nancy Marie Hurt Wuergler, age 90 of Hardy died peacefully in the presence of her family and friends Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Wuergler; and sons-in-law, Robert Hurt and Keith Colls. She was a faithful member of Halesford Baptist Church where she served up until recently. She loved her church and the Lord. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also had an enormous love for flowers. Surviving are daughters, Joy Hurt and Leticia Colls (Greg); son, Barry Wuergler (Peggy); grandchildren, Bryce Wuergler (Angeli), Jessica Sanborn (Tyler) and Alli Summers (Luke); great-grandchildren, Cora Wuergler, Lincoln Summers, Walker Summers and Eleanor Sanborn. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Golden Agers, c/o Halesford Baptist Church, 2485 Lost Mountain Road, Wirtz, VA 24184. Funeral services will be conducted from Halesford Baptist Church 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 with Pastor Keith Floyd, Rev. Melvin Harris and Pastor Chris Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   A memorial meal will follow. Her family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
