Nannie Jamison Austin, age 86 of Ferrum died Monday, May 28, 2012. She was born June 9, 1925 a daughter of the late Henry Jacob and Ida Rutrough Jamison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Austin; brothers, Emory and Loyd Jamison; brothers-in-law, Levi Bowman and John Brunk; sisters-in-law, Betty Jamison and Frances Jamison; in-laws, Raymond and Blanche Austin, Clara Austin, Janie Rutrough, Charlie and Ernest Rutrough. Surviving are her daughters, Lois and husband Joe Brubaker, Lena and husband John William Sink, Jr.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Joel Jamison (Fannie), Vernon Jamison, Ellis Jamison (Rachel); sisters, Annie Bowman, Fannie Brunk, Bertha May Brubaker (Marvin); sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jamison; brother-in-law, Wilmer Austin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Friday with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Pigg River Church (5090 Six Mile Post Road, Rocky Mount). Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
