Nannie Verlene Dalton, age 71 of Penhook died Saturday, July 2, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Emery Weatherford. Surviving are her husband, Jerry Wayne Dalton; daughter, Robin Lawrence Forry and special friend, Shane G. Forry; grandson, Chase Dawson Forry; sisters, Joan H. Easley and Carol W. Grosnell; brothers, Wayne Haley, Ben Haley and Eddie Weatherford; step-daughter, Jennifer Dalton; step-grandchildren, Amelia Carchia, Paige Pruitt and Jordon Pruitt; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Cool Springs Christian Church 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 with Pastor Jennifer Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at the Lawrence-Adkins Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
