Nannie E. Dillon Board, age 92 of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
She was born on March 18, 1916 a daughter of the late Jupee and Kate Holland Dillon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Board; sisters, Dotsie Austin, Mary Dillon; brothers, Tom, Maylon, and Wilbur Dillon.
Mrs. Board was retired from Weaver Mirror Company.
She is survived by her sister and caregiver, Stella Fisher; brothers and sisters-in-law, Posey and Hilda Dillon, Vernard and Elsie Dillon; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
Special thanks to the staff, therapists and nurses at Pheasant Ridge Rehabilitation Center during her recent stay.
Memorial donations may be made to Boones Mill Church of the Brethren, 25366 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Boones Mill, Va. 24065.
Her family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
