Nannie Lou Pendleton Kessler

Nannie Lou Pendleton Kessler, age 88 of Ferrum, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Nannie was a member of the First Church of the Brethren at Ferrum, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kessler of 64 years; parents, Buren and Dorothy Pendleton of Woolwine, daughter, Joan K. Preston; and sisters, Carrie Lee P. Young, Violet Lyon and Vivian Carter. Surviving are her daughter, Karen K. and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Mills; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Kendall Kessler, Douglas and Dawn Kessler; son-in-law, Frank Preston (Joan’s husband); nine grandchildren, Alan Kessler, Thomas and Gabriel Mills, Ethan Preston, Andrew, Christine, Joshua, Benjamin, and Victoria Kessler; three sisters, Laura Ferguson, Lora Wall and Thelma Young; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
